Who Else Wants
to Win The Lottery?
Do you play the Mega Millions, the
Canadian 6/49 lotto, California lotto, UK lottery, Euro
Millions, Texas Lottery, US lotteries, Australian lotto, or any
other of the world's lotto games for that matter?
Whichever lottery you play, you have one
thing in common with the rest of us - to win, we need all the
help we can get!
There’s a National Lottery game show in
the UK that’s called ‘In It To Win It’ and that about sums up
the most important factor in any lottery game – you do have to be in it (buy a ticket) to win
it. BUT if you just ‘do’ the lotto and ‘hope’ to win, then the
odds really are stacked against you. Here’s why……...
Winning the lottery is a numbers game and that means
– more entries gives you more chances of winning. There is a
limit though to how many entries a sane person can afford to
risk every week. However the fact remains, if you play multiple
tickets in one draw you stand a better chance of winning than
playing 1 ticket for multiple weeks. Because it's a random
numbers game, all we can do is reduce the odds of losing and let
luck and chance play their part.
The odds of winning a lottery jackpot are quite simply
staggering. If you play just one line a week in a typical
6-from-49 draw you have around a 1 in 14 million chance of
winning the jackpot. Playing that 1 line a week would take you
about 268,919 years to hit the jackpot! I don’t know about you
but I can't wait that long and I want it to happen in this
lifetime – while I’m still young enough to enjoy it!
Sadly, the only
way to guarantee winning the jackpot is to buy every possible
combination of numbers. Well, I haven’t got that kind of money
so that’s out too. I guess we’re all limited in one way or
another by both time and money. So what’s the answer?
Well, that depends on you as an
individual. You see, lottery players fall into 3 categories:
- Those who
play one line in the
hope of winning.
- Those who
play multiple lines
on their own to improve their chances and so they can keep all
the winnings themselves.
- Those who
play in syndicates
to improve their chances and are prepared to share what they
win.
- Those who do a combination of the
above.
We’ll talk more about these categories
in a minute.
Coincidentally there are also 3 main character traits that can
really hold some people back in their quest to win on the
lottery:
- They’re Greedy – They want it
all to themselves.
- They’re Impatient – They want
to win now.
- They’re Disorganised – They
don’t have a system.
- They're Ignorant - They don't
know the 'mechanics' of playing.
Some people only have one of these
traits, which is bad enough but sadly some have all three.
It therefore follows that if you are the opposite of the above
and are generous, patient, organised and
take the time to learn a little, about how best to
play,
you are in a better frame of mind to win. Now we both know that
just having a better frame of mind doesn’t mean you’re going to
win however it does affect how you play and that does affect
your chances of winning – remarkably.

Did you know it's been proven that people
who think more positively, are actually luckier. The stork
didn't just deliver them that way - they made their own luck by
the way they think and behave.
So a good place to start is with your attitude to the way
you play. Once you get your attitude sorted then it’s just a
case of deciding what you want to achieve by playing a lottery
and then moving into the category that is most likely to enable
you to attain that goal.
For example if your goal is to win $25,000,000 in the one go, it
is highly unlikely you would achieve this by joining a
syndicate, simply because if you did win you would have to share
it with other syndicate members and your share would naturally
be less than $25,000,000. Your only option to achieve
this goal is wait until the Jackpot has reached $25,000,000 and
either buy one ticket and hope you win, or buy
multiple tickets thereby
increasing your chances.
On the other hand, if your goal is to win little and often, you
would be better playing
multiple
lines and/or being part of a
syndicate. Either of these categories will improve your chances
of winning the jackpot and small amounts as well.
You see, winning the lottery means different things to different
people.
